Workers who have a union work more safely. Unionized workers are more likely to know about the health and safety risks in their workplaces and can speak out about dangerous conditions collectively, rather than individually, decreasing the risk to an individual worker of being targeted as a troublemaker.

And through their union and skills training, workers are able to help employers provide a safer workplace, protecting lives, increasing productivity and decreasing costs.
