Leadership Education Series
A series of progressive classes designed to enhance the leadership skills of union officers and staff. Each series takes the subject matter to a more in-depth level, and encourages students to participate through hands-on teaching methods. The classes are held in various geographic locations, and are geared for multi-regional participation. 

LIUNA Leadership I
An introductory educational program that provides insight into the fundamental operations and resources of LIUNA, and discusses how those resources can enhance the endeavors of union leadership. This class is intended for union staff members from construction locals with less than two years of experience. Participants can receive up to three college credits from the National Labor College. Business Managers' Leadership Academy (BMLA)
This LIUNA Leadership Program is intended exclusively for Business Managers. Attendance at the BMLA fulfills a Business Manager’s training requirement as mandated by GEB Resolution 7 adopted at the 2006 LIUNA  Convention.  Each of the 9 courses is offered in a 1 ½ day format, which allows participating Business Managers an opportunity to take from one to three classes over the week long period.  New courses and multiple course offerings enable Business Managers to participate every year.  The National Labor College, site of the BMLA, is a first-class facility devoted to the education of union leadership from around the world. Secretary-Treasurer Education


This 2 ½ day program orients or refreshes Secretary-Treasurers in their primary job responsibilities.  Local union bookkeepers are also encouraged to attend Governing authorities and Constitutional duties.
