Leadership Manual (private site users only)
Created as part of Resolution XV from the 2001 convention, this manual provides concise information describing the structure, activities and initiatives of a wide variety of LIUNA Departments and Funds. (Education Department)

An overview of the roles and responsibilities of a non-construction steward, as well as the necessary guidelines needed to excel and be successful. (Education Department)

LIUNA Jurisdiction manual (private site users only)
Provides an overview of all the various classifications of construction work LIUNA has jurisdiction over, as well as a history of the evolution of the laborers’ jurisdiction. (Construction Department)

Membership Orientation Guide
Created as part of Resolution V from the 2001 convention, this guide provides an overview of LIUNA’s history, structure and programs, and describes the benefits and responsibilities of union membership. LIUNA Ethics and Disciplinary Procedure
Discusses the universal standards of conduct applicable to LIUNA officers, members and its affiliates, as well as the processes set up to ensure that potential violations are investigated and decided by independent officers in accordance with fair and impartial procedures. (Legal Department)

Organizing Resources
An overview of the resources available that can provide critical background information on companies that LIUNA is trying to organize. This information, available to the public, can significantly improve organizing efforts and lead to increased market share. (Organizing Department)

The Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET) offers a clearinghouse of materials and tools that can help Laborers expand market share. LECET is a partnership between the Laborers' International Union of North America and its signatory contractors to secure projects and jobs, increase market share, and advance shared market-related interests.

Schools of Democracy – Clayton Sinyai, a Researcher for LIUNA as well as Political Director for Laborers’ Local 11, explores the American labor movement and shows how America’s working people and union leaders debated the first questions of democratic theory, and educated themselves about the rights and responsibilities of democratic citizenship.

Building More Effective Unions - Paul Clark, an associate professor of labor studies and industrial relations at Pennsylvania State University, uses new research to show how unions can be more successful on many fronts including organizing, member orientation, grievance processing, political action, and leadership development.

Accounting and Finance Manual for the Secretary-Treasurer
