Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, many LIUNA members performed recovery and clean-up work.

If you or someone you know has become sick or injured due to work at these sites, register with the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. Doing so preserves the right to file a compensation claim in the future. The deadline is October 3.

Exposures to the toxic dust and fumes that permeated these cleanups can lead to serious illnesses. Some illnesses – cancer, for example – may take years to develop.

Even if you are not now sick, if you worked at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the Shanksville (PA) crash – or the Staten Island landfill, the barge operation between Manhattan and Staten Island or the New York City morgue – still register for the Septemer 11 Victim Compensation Fund.
