LIUNA applauds the U.S. Senate for confirming Representative Ryan Zinke for United States Secretary of the Interior.

 

The role of the Department of Interior as a steward of both the environment and domestic energy resources on federal lands impacts LIUNA members who build our nation’s energy infrastructure. LIUNA supports balanced policy that protects the natural environment without creating roadblocks for key energy projects. Burdensome regulations and long, drawn out review processes serve no benefit and only hurt working men and women.

 

Throughout his tenure representing Montana, Representative Zinke has demonstrated his support for pragmatic energy policy and protecting the economic interests of working families.
