Washington, D.C. (Oct. 10, 2014) – LIUNA General President Terry O’Sullivan made the following statement today on California Sen. Barbara Boxer’s continued efforts to press for passage of a long-term, full-investment Highway Bill this year:

LIUNA applauds Sen. Barbara Boxer for continuing to press for passage of a long-term, full-investment Highway Bill this year. There are viable options and bi-partisan support in both chambers of Congress for the stable investment needed to halt the dangerous deterioration of our nation’s roads and bridges. What is lacking is a willingness by too many in Congress to stop their political games and take responsible action. On behalf of the half-million members of LIUNA, we urge Congress to follow Sen. Boxer’s lead.
