LIUNA Hails Looman Nomination for DOL Wage and Hour Division

LIUNA enthusiastically supports the nomination of Jessica Looman, a proud member of our great union, to serve as the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Looman has committed herself to serving the public and is a talented and experienced administrator.

 

Looman has made her career as an outstanding leader and champion of worker’s rights. She has also time and again successfully brokered relationships between employers and unions that strengthen our nation, raise labor standards, and make businesses more competitive.

 

Jessica Looman has an impeccable track record - from her work in the State of Minnesota to her current role as Acting Administrator and Principal Deputy Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division – she has been successful in ensuring that the hard and dangerous work LIUNA members do every day is safer and bound by more robust labor standards that ensure a voice on the job and good family supporting pay.

 

With her commitment and expertise, there is no one better suited than Jessica Looman to serve as the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division at the U.S. Department of Labor. LIUNA strongly supports her nomination and urges a speedy confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
